Therefore our congregation is to listen and be open to what God is telling us today. To do God’s work, we must have the eyes to see, the ears to hear where we can best be about the hunger, poverty, and saving the environment.
Our challenges are to move outside our comfort level and to do God’s work in the reality of present circumstances. We believe we are to do God’s mission. We are also an aging congregation with many personal care needs. We live in a culture of change with many demands placed on people’s time and energy, especially the younger generation. We live in a changing, growing, and increasingly diverse community. How do we hold these realities in tension and move forward? |
