ABOUT US
We are a multi-generational church with wonderfully wise seniors and frequently vocal babies, who share in our worship services. We will be 125 years old in 2017, and we love to sing.We are biblically oriented, with Sunday school for all ages and a pastor who uses the history of the Old Testament and the parables and stories of Jesus' journey to help us embrace the kingdom of God, here on earth.
We are mission-bound, with youth and adults participating in work trips from New Orleans to Nicaragua, and we help support missions in Africa through our denomination.
We share space in our church with a Hispanic congregation, a preschool, and a family therapy practice. Our service in the community includes participating in food pantries, after school tutoring, and sewing for children in the school district.
First Presbyterian is a social justice church, working to help immigrants, gays, people of different faiths, and others in need of support and prayers.
