Who We Are

The mission of the members of First Presbyterian Church (USA), Elgin, is to invite, form, nurture, shape and sustain disciples of Jesus Christ.

We are a faith community of justice-seeking Presbyterians, responding to the God who calls us through the power of the Holy Spirit into wholeness, as a community that lives out the vision of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ in the world.

We have a diverse history here in Elgin and we have a bold, dynamic and ever-changing path towards the future.

Visiting us for the first time?

We are located at 240 Standish Street on the West side of Elgin, Illinois, northwest of the intersection of Route 31 and Walnut Street.

  • Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm | Friday Closed

  • Childcare available

  • Handicap accessible - use front entrance

  • Street parking available in the front of the building on Standish Street or proceed to the back parking lot with easy access from Woodard Street

  • Worship Service (Fall-Spring) - Sundays 10:30 am (Summer) - Sundays 9:30 am

  • Adult Studies 9:00 am (Sundays - Adult Studies Classroom)

  • Youth Sunday School 9:15 am (Sundays - Fall through Spring)

  • Fellowship Time after Worship - Parlor
